The number of hours children attend school is 32.5 hours per week.

Children should not arrive at school before 8.40 a.m, unless previously agreed.

Lunchtimes

Parents have the choice of children having a cooked school lunch or providing a packed lunch.  If your child has a packed lunch please ensure it is brought in a secure plastic box clearly marked with your child’s name.  Children’s drinks should be in watertight containers.  No glass bottles or fizzy drinks please.

Children of parents receiving Income Support or Working Tax Credit may be eligible for a free school meal.  Further details can be obtained from the school, and information will be treated in the strictest confidence.

We are now strongly encouraging children to drink more water during the day.  Children should have a water bottle which is to be brought to school daily filled with preferably still water, with the child’s name clearly marked on the bottle.  At the end of the day, the bottle is taken home, washed and refilled and brought to school the next day.  Drinking more water throughout the day has a proven effect on how children perform at school and so we hope that parents will be supportive of this.
